Lexington Selected Yearling Sale declines were expected
The Lexington Selected Yearling sale concluded with its fifth session on Sunday, Oct. 17. A total of 214 youngsters sold for an average price of $10,168, a drop of 17.5 percent from the same session in 2009. For the entire sale, the average price for the 791 yearlings sold was $31,019, a dip of about 11 percent from last year.
